This Privacy Policy explains how Pounce (“Pounce,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our tee-time monitoring and alert service (the “Service”).

Information we collect

• Account information: your email address, display name, and password (stored only as a secure hash).
• Contact information: your mobile phone number, if you choose to enable SMS alerts, and your notification preferences.
• Service data: the courses, dates, times, and player counts you choose to watch, and the alerts we generate for you.
• Technical data: device and browser information and log data needed to operate and secure the Service.

How we use your information

• To operate the Service: monitor courses you select and notify you when matching tee times open.
• To deliver notifications you request, by push notification and, with your consent, SMS.
• To secure your account, prevent abuse, and provide customer support.

SMS / mobile messaging

If you opt in to SMS alerts, we use your mobile number solely to send the tee-time alerts you request. Your mobile information and SMS consent are never sold, and are never shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Message frequency varies. How we share information

We share information only with service providers who help us operate the Service (for example, our SMS delivery provider and hosting provider), strictly to perform services on our behalf, and when required by law. We do not sell your personal information.

Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from Account settings, which removes your watches and personal data, subject to limited records we must keep for legal or security reasons.

Your choices

• Update your profile, notification channels, and preferences in Account settings.
• Turn off push or SMS notifications at any time; reply STOP to end SMS.
• Delete your account and associated data from Account settings.

Security

We use industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit and hashed credentials, to protect your information. No method of transmission is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data.
